Today we celebrate the birthday of one of the greatest American authors of all time, Theodore Geisel, otherwise known as Dr. Seuss. Most of us think of Dr. Seuss as a prolific writer of kids’ books and he was, but he was so much more.
Fun fact: The very first book I ever read all by myself was One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish. I still love that book today. Dr. Seuss gives us permission to be silly, to make up words if the necessary one doesn’t exist, and to experience the world with child-like enthusiasm.
In honor of his birthday, I’m posting this graphic of thirty of his quotes that, if we really think about them, have the power to change our lives.
Go ahead. Take some time today to enjoy a little Dr. Seuss. Your day will be better for it.
