My friend, erotic romance author Lilah E. Noir read LOST & BOUND and suggested that supporting characters Scott Nielsen and Jackie Walker needed their own story. Originally, I thought it might make a good novella. But 115k+ words later, the story ended up taking on a life of its own. Aside from the Rannigan’s Redemption trilogy, it’s the longest book I’ve written.
While all of my leading ladies have red hair, Jackie Walker, sister of Blake Walker from LOST & BOUND, is my first non-ginger heroine. That’s because in the first book, I gave her the same dark hair as her brother. She’s also a Warrior Princess, a different kind of submissive than I’ve ever written before, so this has been an exciting book to write.
