Reviewing Rannigan

Thank you, Jolie Mason, for this glowing review. But I’m wondering… Have you been peeking at my notes? LOL! Mad appreciation! :^D

Future Fairytales

I received an advance copy of Rannigan’s Redemption by Pandora Spocks, and I gotta say I’m still not sure about that man. If anyone can redeem a player like Rannigan though, it’s gotta be Pandora. 51syvvcbubl-_sx311_bo1204203200_

The writing is extremely polished, much like the high powered attorney world she depicts, and she depicts it very well. From the depositions gone wrong to the slimeball clients, she puts you in that world.

Rannigan is a true player. His commitment issues have commitment issues, evidenced by his confusing attraction for Maggie, Mags, the girl in the office next door. She’s clearly not his type. You’ll agree she’s not his type. He agrees he’s not her type, but he always seems to slip.

This is a three parter, and you know I normally hate a cliffhanger. This one I’ll wait for happily. The subtle nuances, the exploration of the characters is beyond worth it…

10 words to cut from your writing:

Note to self…

Oooh I’ve GOT to remember number 10! 😛

10 words to cut from your writing

By Shanna Mallon |
As Mark Twain famously wrote, “I didn’t have time to write a short letter, so I wrote a long one instead.” His point? Strong writing is lean writing.

When you want to make your writing more powerful, cut out words you don’t need—such as the 10 included in this post:

1. Just: The word “just” is a filler word that weakens your writing. Removing it rarely affects meaning, but rather, the deletion tightens a sentence.

2. Really: Using the word “really” is an example of writing the way you talk. It’s a verbal emphasis that doesn’t translate perfectly into text. In conversation, people use the word frequently, but in written content it’s unnecessary. Think about the difference between saying a rock is “hard” and “really hard,” for example. What does…

Watch This Space–Suzie Jay

‘Tis the season for a great Christmas romance and  I have just the one for you.  Merry Christmas, Eve by Suzie Jay is exactly what you’re looking for.

Here’s my review on Amazon.

I loved Merry Christmas, Eve by Suzy Jay. Confident, driven career woman Eve Taylor finds herself stranded with other travelers in a snowstorm at the Nashville airport on the day before Christmas Eve. All she wants is to be alone in her own home for the holidays.
One of her fellow strandees happens to be a tall, sexy businessman named Grayson Parker. With nothing but time on her hands, Eve indulges in a little fantasy and flirtation.
But she’s put her personal life on the back burner for so long now, she’s not sure she can take a chance on love. Grayson is a damaged soul with a few mysteries of his own.
Will there be a Merry Christmas for them?

This is a quick read, just perfect for this busy time of year.  While you’re bustling around making sure everyone else has a happy holiday, take a few moments for yourself and enjoy this delightful book.

Watch This Space–Jolie Mason

I just read a cool, exciting, sexy story by Jolie MasonRiding Redemption: The 47th Lancers #1 is a sci-fi thriller with heartfelt, sexy romance.  This is not my usual read, but I have to tell you, I can’t wait to read more of this story.

I’m including the Amazon link because I know you’re going to want to check this out.  It’s only 99¢, and it’s FREE with Kindle Unlimited.

Here’s my review from Amazon and Goodreads.

Thrilling Adventure With a Side of Romance

I loved this story! Wendy, call-sign Dahlia, and Beau, call-sign Jackson, are members of the 47th Lancers, tasked with repelling alien invaders. They also happen to be former lovers. But when Jackson got too close, Dahlia broke it off. Now they struggle to work together and maintain their professionalism.

This story has heart-pounding action and I love the fact that the author doesn’t dumb down the technical details of battle. There’s also hot romance. I can’t wait to read the next installment.
